Description

One of the founders of the sosaku-hanga movement, Oda played a seminal role in the founding of the influential Japan Creative Print Society in 1918. Having studied with Czech artist Emil Orlik, Oda was very familiar with the work of his European contemporaries, utilizing the Western technique of lithography as well as making traditional woodcuts.
