Description

Robert Henri was the leader of "The Eight," a group of Philadelphia realists who led the revolt against more traditional painting. This drawing of a group of women shows his interest in the work of radical French newspaper cartoonists such as Honoré Daumier (1808–1879) and Paul Gavarni (1804–1866).
