Did You Know?

Pierre Bonnard completed these illustrations while visiting his sister and brother-in-law in the coastal town of Arcachon.

Description

This print is among Pierre Bonnard's early experiments in lithography and his first attempt at illustration. Each image accompanies a musical composition by Claude Terrasse, the artist's brother-in-law. Bonnard used simple, sketchy lines to suggest the humor of the album's commentary on daily life in Paris.
