This occupational portrait shows the subject amid the objects with which he makes his living.

Description

Chupete, as his friends call him, came to Lima on vacation and stayed. He sells chocolates on the street and has six children, all boys who look like him. The artist wanted workers like Gamoza, who serve the tourists and wealthy Lima residents of the upscale Miraflores area, to be seen as individuals, so he handwrote their life stories around their portraits.
