Pan Tianshou was one of China’s most original modern ink artists known for unorthodox compositions and formats.

Description

This portrait of National Art Academy director Pan Tianshou (1897–1971) is from Master Series, featuring leading men of culture in modern China. All of them came under attack during the Cultural Revolution. The award-winning prints combine photography with digital design and oil-based ink woodcut techniques.
